Two ways to enter the colouir: From the Couvercle hut ascend on the far left to avoid the crevasses in the middle of the basin to reach the bottom of the face. Climb the lower couloir to a short ramp (sometimes mixed, may require down climbing/abseil in descent) heading out left to join the main couloir line. From here you are exposed above the lower cliff. The climb is straight forward and you can summit via the ridge from the top of the couloir in an 30min round trip. Another perhaps more aesthetic way is to climb one of the routes on the North Face, (Couturier, Nant Blanc) and descend the ridge towards the Grande Rocheuse where you’ll find the start of the couloir to make your descent.
Ironically this is the easiest run from Augille Verte. But make no mistake this is extreme skiing. You have to start early to get it in good conditions before the sun warms it up to much. The conditions normally shifts since the bottom part is more exposed for the sun.
This is extreme skiing with all possible dangers. You need to be very experienced to do this run.
